Dr. Zhenan Bao, an Expert in Flexible Electronics at Standford University will be a Speaker at the Forum in Honor of Madame Chien-Shiung Wu.

We are are honored that Professor Zhenan Bao, K. K. Lee Professor, and Professor, by courtesy, of Materials Science and Engineering and of Chemistry will be one of the multiple distinguished speakers for the event to honor Professor Chien-Shiung Wu. Administratively, Professor Bao is also the Chairperson of Stanford University’s Department of Chemical Engineering. The event will begin on September 24, 2022 at 9:00 am (EDT).
The event is sponsored by the 20,000 members of the Nanjing University Alumni Association United States (NUAAUS).
An alumnus of Nanjing University (B.Sc) and the University of Chicago (Ph.D.) in chemistry, Professor Bao is a member of the US National Academy of Engineering, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the National Academy of Inventors. Bao was also elected to be a foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Science in 2021. Her work in developing flexible electronics, especially in artificial skin is world renowned.
The citation from the US National Academy of Engineering is “For synthesis, design, and application of organic semiconductors for flexible electronics.”

A year ago on February 9, 2021, Professor Zhenan Bao presented a distinguished seminar at the Kavli Nanoscience Institute at Caltech with the title "Skin-Inspired Organic Electronics" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWNgflo_504) in which her research was discussed in detail.
About the C.S. Wu Global Forum
In order to commemorate Madame Chien Shiung Wu's 110 Anniversaries, Nanjing University Alumni Association United States (USAAUS) will host the first C.S. Wu Global Online Symposium, on September 24th, 2022. It welcomes scientists, teachers and students all over the world to join this open event.
The son of Madame C.S. Wu, Dr. Vincent Yuan, expressed his great pleasure in approving the NUAAUS to organize this commemorative event.
The U.S. Postal Service wrote to NUAAUS and authorized the use of Chien-shung Wu commemorative stamp to honor her as "one of the most influential nuclear physicists of the 20th century".
